WHKY: Projects In Burke, Iredell Counties Awarded Grants As Part Of Dept. Of Commerce Allocations
According to the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved 17 grant requests to local governments totaling $7,068,625. The requests include commitments to create a total of 869 jobs, 623 of which were previously announced.
WRAL TECH WIRE: High-tech job openings surge across NC to more than 31,000
More than 31,000 high-tech job openings were posted across North Carolina in March, a huge 40 percent increase over the same month in 2018 and the highest figure reported to date in the report from the NC Technology Association.

State Treasurer Dale Folwell was in New Bern Tuesday to outline the Clear Pricing Project, a plan to keep North Carolina’s State Health Plan solvent beyond its projected fiscal lifespan. At current spending levels of nearly $3.3 billion per year, the plan is projected to run out of money in 2023.
