Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted announced on March 21, 2020, that the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) will delay premium installment payments for employers for March, April and May 2020. This applies to private and public employers, both state-funded and self-insured.

Per the announcement, installment payments for this period total approximately $200 million. During this time, public and private employers’ BWC coverage will not lapse nor will penalties be assessed for amounts not paid because of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
