On April 20, 2023, One Brooklyn Health (“OBH”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Montana after experiencing a cyberattack resulting in confidential consumer information being made accessible to an unauthorized party. Based on the company’s official filing, the incident resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and state identification numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, medical treatment information, prescription information, medical information, and health insurance information. After confirming that consumer data was leaked, OBH began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals who were impacted by the recent data security incident.
