U.S. Department of Commerce Sets Stage for New Countervailing Duties on Chinese Solar PanelsSouthern California Edison (SCE) has announced a Request for Offers (RFO) seeking proposals for 63 MW of solar generation, with proposed projects being between 500 kW and 10 MW each. While SCE has made known its preference for project bids from Orange County, all proposed projects must be located within SCE’s territory in Southern and Central California. SCE also indicated a preference for rooftop projects that are 1-2 MW, although SCE will consider some ground-mounted projects.

Bids are due no later than 12:00 p.m. (Pacific Prevailing Time) on January 6, 2015.

SCE’s Solar Photovoltaic Program (SPVP) is a utility procurement program adopted by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in Decision 09-06-049 to advance the development of distributed solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in SCE’s service territory. Through the SPVP, SCE will procure 125MWdc over the 2010-2015 period from solar PV generating facilities with gross power ratings of not less than 500 kWdc and not greater than 10 MWdc.

This fourth SPVP RFO will be conducted using an RFO management website. Please visit the RFO website for the RFO Participant Instructions, the Standard Power Purchase Agreements and other RFO documents, or to submit an Offer or ask a question.

More information on SCE’s RFO can also be found on SCE’s website here.
