Ozarks Water Watch released its annual report summarizing water quality (2017) in the Upper White River basin.
The document is titled:
Status of the Watershed 2018 (“Report”)
Ozarks Water Watch states that the Report is the 10th annual undertaking designed to answer the question “How is the water?” in the Upper White River basin located in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.
The organization states that monitoring such waters is a critical component in protecting Ozarks economic prosperity and quality of life.
The Report is a summary of data from 12 monitoring projects in the watershed which includes seven volunteer groups. Over 2,600 water quality measures were taken on 1,336 different occasions in over 185 locations in the Upper White River basin.
The Report’s theme for the year is “Erosion.”
As to the type of measurements taken, the Report identifies the following for 2017:

627 Total Nitrogen values

927 Total Phosphorus values

168 E. coli counts

52 Invertebrate scores

282 Water clarity readings
The Report contains a description and purpose of such measurements/samplings. Also included is a chart assessing water quality in the relevant waterbodies with a ranking ranging from “high,” “mid”, and “low.”
