On Friday, February 13, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the “Act”), which was signed into law by the President on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. The Act provides a package of tax provisions that affect public welfare, infrastructure, energy, business, housing, and the automotive industry.
