After much anticipation, a “leaked” draft of the House health care reform reconciliation bill became public in mid-February. In less than a week, the final proposal was released. It has now passed out of the relevant committees and is heading to the House floor this week. Some provisions changed significantly from the leaked draft, including dropping a proposed cap on the IRC Section 106 employee exclusion for employer-provided health and providing income limits on eligibility for the new health coverage tax credits that replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium subsidies.
