The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Exim) has been reauthorized for seven years after legislation was recently signed by President Donald Trump. The bipartisan legislation will provide certainty to US businesses and workers that are eligible to use Exim-supported trade finance programs. The reauthorization will help support competition overseas by focusing in part on the security challenges posed by China.  Among other things, the legislation includes targets related to small business and renewable energy financing. The seven year reauthorization is the longest in the 85 year life of the agency.
