USC Gynecologist Accused of Sexual Abuse Surrenders Medical License

In the latest fallout from a wide-ranging scandal, former USC gynecologist George Tyndall, who faces criminal charges for allegedly sexually abusing hundreds of students, has surrendered his medical license to the Medical Board of California.

USC faces continued scrutiny from federal regulators for its handling of accusations against Tyndall, and is in the process of settling with Tyndall’s victims for $215 million. In response to the scandal, in June 2018, Arent Fox Partner Lowell Brown testified before the California Legislature on mandated health practitioner discipline and reporting by health facilities.
