While the exact reason for the backlog has not given, USCIS has reported that there has been a noticeable increase in H-1B filings, including Simeo filings, and premium processing filings. USCIS further announced that it is working to address the issue. Unfortunately, no specific timeframe was provided as to by when the issue will be resolved.
