USDOL Releases New FLSA Poster

Employers of workers who are subject to the federal Fair Labor Standards Act's minimum-wage provisions are required to display a poster prescribed by the U.S. Labor Department's Wage and Hour Division. 29 C.F.R. § 516.4.

The Division has released a revised poster. We have so far found no agency publication of any such proposed document for notice and comment. Nevertheless, the Division says that the new poster is in effect.

USDOL regulations require that the poster be readily viewable "in conspicuous places" and "in every establishment" in which these employees are employed.

Remember that additional wage-hour-related postings might be required under the laws or regulations of other jurisdictions.
