The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (“USTR”) announced on September 30, 2020 that it was extending the duty exemptions for only 9 of the 96 products on List 1 and only 28 out of the 113 products on List 2 of the Section 301 tariffs that were scheduled to expire on October 2, 2020. The 37 total individual product-line extensions will now expire on December 31, 2020. Over 150 products for which extensions were not extended will face 25% tariffs at the time of entry, effective October 2, 2020.

The lists of the products for which the Section 301 List 1 and List 2 exclusions were extended are linked and can be found on the USTR’s website. Product exclusions which were extended include for cement retainer assemblies, extrusion machines for processing rubber, and various types of DC motors.
