Federal and state regulations under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the California Safer Consumer Products Regulations (SCPR), and the Safer Products for Washington law, are driving the evaluation and use of alternative product formulations and designs. Wiley’s new special counsel, Sarah Amick will be joined by Tom Lewandowski, Principal and Toxicologist at Gradient, to discuss regulations shaping the evaluation of chemical alternatives, trends in alternatives analysis, and practical considerations for companies and associations working to identify safer alternatives in the U.S. and globally.

This program should be a high priority for any company or association working to inform the potential substitution of chemicals in products. The session will close with recommendations and perspectives on why alternatives assessment is trending in 2025 and beyond.
