In today's connected global economy, obtaining patent protection in multiple jurisdictions is the best way for companies to protect their IP on a global scale. But every jurisdiction has different patentability requirements and prosecution schemes, as well as quirks of local law that can significantly complicate the coordination of a global patent strategy. On Wednesday, March 10, join Fish attorneys Peter Fasse and Moritz Ammelburg as they discuss best practices for obtaining patent protection in both the U.S. and Europe. Peter and Moritz will discuss the following topics, among others:
- Inventorship, right of priority, and entitlement to file an application in the U.S. vs. Europe
- Effective application drafting to meet both U.S. and European support standards
- Submission of after-filing data to support enablement, non-obviousness, and inventive step in the U.S. and Europe
