Kennedys and Booz Allen Hamilton are delighted to invite you to our 3 hour webinar on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

This half-day seminar features three presentations: Clear and present danger, In the war room, and The fallout. Each panel brings a collection of leading industry voices from thought leaders, cyber insurers, brokers, breach counsel, and response firms to discuss the challenges and emerging issues experienced when preparing for and mitigating against the risks of a cyberattack, responding to a devastating cyberattack, and the path of remediation and exposures that victims of cyberattacks must travel on the road to full recovery.

Kennedys partners and heads of EMEA and US Cyber and Data Privacy Oliver Dent and Joshua Mooney will be joined by:

This webinar will be broken down into three parts:

Clear and present danger: Preparing for the cyberattack
Preparation can mean almost everything when trying to mitigate the risk and damage of a cyberattack. Building off 2023 claims data, current priorities among insureds, hotspots, and examining future risks, including those posed by generative AI, this panel will cover preparatory steps an organization can take to address cyber risk and prepare for a likely inevitable attack.

In the war room: Managing legal, regulatory, and business risk during an attack
As soon as an incident occurs, an entire commercial organization can be brought down. With so many competing priorities, ensuring that the initial communications cover the right aspects for the organization is crucial. Cyber incidents do not follow a linear pattern, but bringing some structure to the chaos is the job of the Incident Response Team, which helps to mitigate risk exposure. The panelists will take an in-depth look at the attack phase of a cyber incident and what goes into an effective triage process.

The fallout: Managing legal, regulatory, and business risk following an attack
Taking an in-depth look at a company’s legal, regulatory, and practical considerations in the immediate wake of a cyber incident, this panel will illustrate common legal and regulatory pitfalls that companies should avoid in the wake of a breach, and key practical measures they should employ to prevent and mitigate any repeat attack. They will also cover considerations counsel must make when required to notify various external parties of a breach.
