Kilpatrick Townsend is pleased to present our inaugural Fintech Webinar Series designed to discuss timely topics involving the fintech industry. Please invite others from your organization and stay tuned for future fintech webinars focused on privacy and intellectual property issues.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
At this webinar, our speakers will discuss the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s recent decision to move forward with considering applications from financial technology (fintech) companies to become special purpose national banks. They will provide an overview of the additional guidance recently provided by the OCC on evaluating special purpose national bank charter applications from fintech companies that engage in the business of banking and highlight the unique factors that the agency will consider in evaluating applications from fintech companies. Finally, they will offer some insights on the outlook for this initiative going forward, as Comptroller Curry’s term has expired.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This webinar will be of particular interest to those fintech companies that are considering the merits and burdens of becoming subject to federal requirements and OCC oversight and thereby reducing the burden of certain state licensing and regulatory requirements.
