As the war for talent continues, companies have enhanced their parental leave policies to attract and retain employees. But these policies have also put companies in the litigation crosshairs, with employees alleging that policies that differentiate between primary and nonprimary caregivers are unlawful and discriminatory.

Tracey Diamond, Hope Comisky and Jessica Rothenberg — members of Pepper Hamilton’s Labor and Employment Practice Group — hosted an interactive webinar discussing parental leave laws, requirements under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and recent sex discrimination lawsuits related to parental leave policies. This webinar will cover the latest issues in parental leave as well as strategies for developing a compliant leave policy that decreases a company’s litigation risk. The webinar will also provide a recap of recent developments in paid leave laws in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

These are the PowerPoint slides from this webinar.
