  • Wyoming AG Bridget Hill was appointed to the Wyoming Supreme Court by Governor Mark Gordon, and will take the bench on May 28, 2025. The Wyoming AG is also appointed by the governor, and AG Hill’s replacement has not yet been named.
  • Republican John Bash, the former U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, and Republican Texas State Senator Mayes Middleton have announced their intention to run for Texas AG in 2026. Texas AG Ken Paxton recently announced his bid for Senate in 2026, challenging Republican U.S. Senator John Cornyn.
  • Mark R. Meador, an attorney who most recently worked in private practice and as a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation Tech Policy Center, was confirmed as an FTC Commissioner for a term that expires on September 25, 2031.
