On November 16, 2023, Wyoming County Community Health System (“WCCHS”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that files stored on WCCHS’s network were subject to unauthorized access. In this notice, WCCHS explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access consumers’ sensitive information, which includes their names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, dates of birth, biometric data, medical information and health insurance information, and account numbers.
