WLG Member Firms provide the on-the-ground bench-strength, broad national and regional coverage, in-depth knowledge of their respective local markets and have strong ties in their communities that no branch office of a “global” firm could hope to emulate.
World Law Group maintains a strict, invitation-only, new-member selection process in order to maintain the high quality, geographic and full-service coverage, and client service standards our existing members demand. Since its founding, WLG has pursued a strategy of select growth in major international and regional business centers - with new members added only as the business needs of existing members and their clients dictate. In addition, once admitted, each member’s performance, market standing and commitment to WLG’s objectives are reviewed regularly to ensure the firm continues to meet our membership criteria and the expectations of other members.
World Law Group is governed by a nine-member international Board of Directors – a President, Secretary, Treasurer, three Regional Directors and three Directors – who are top lawyers in our member firms. Each has a two-year term, although the terms of the Regional Directors are staggered from the rest for continuity. The Board oversees the operations of WLG, including oversight of the network’s Staff Team, membership policies and by-laws, and development of new initiatives.
