Here are four, quick, easy, and actionable ways to elevate your profile and effectively connect with clients and prospects:
1. Enhance your digital presence by updating your website bio and LinkedIn profile
Do your current profiles accurately illustrate the experience you have and how you help your clients? Do they incorporate elements of your personality? Do they include white space? They should.
Remember, readers are scanners. Short sentences are best, as is the use of bullets.
2. Boost your pipeline by getting involved
If you aren’t already involved in a community organization, non-profit, professional association or industry group, you are missing out on an opportunity to build your pipeline.
Spend some time investigating organizations that speak to you personally or professionally. Attend events and connect with their leaders to learn how you can get involved.
3. Share insights
A great way to increase your profile is to share insights – whether that’s contributing to firm produced content (like alerts, podcasts or videos), speaking at events or to the media, or engaging on LinkedIn – your insights and perspectives are valuable to the buyers of legal services.
Leverage AI for your first drafts, especially for click-bait content like Top 10 lists or FAQs.
4. Ask for introductions
When was the last time you took a satisfied client up on these kind words, “…if there is anything I can ever do for you”?
Make a list of the clients and business partners that you’ve worked with in the past few years. Who are you confident that would recommend you to their network? Reach out and ask for introductions to decision-makers. A referral goes a long way.
By incorporating even one of these strategies, you will amplify your profile and foster meaningful connections.
