USCIS has announced that data entry is now complete for FY 2020 H-1B Cap Subject Petitions selected in the USCIS computer-generated random selection process, including those selected under the advanced degree exemption. USCIS will now start returning unselected petitions, and will make an announcement once they have completed notifying petitioners. Based on the volume of petitions received, USCIS has not committed to a time frame for returning unselected petitions.

Some Form I-129 H-1B cap-subject petitions may be transferred between the Vermont Service Center and the California Service Center. USCIS will notify those petitioners whose cases are transferred, who would then need to send all future communications to the center processing their petition.
